First of all the quality of the tracks: i noticed the excellence in sound quality, it sounds (to me, i am no expert..) that the tracks on this cd were not 'enhanced' like most of the cd's of the last 10 years. Sound spectrum seems to be fully used and the cd sounds delightful :-) I stumbled upon this cd thanks to Discogs, i was looking for Rose Royce's 'Is it love you're after' 12" track, it is one of those good old times disco songs that you just got to have. Sadly, all of the available tracks are the short 3:15 (approx) versions (special note on Pure Groove 80's: it has the live concert version). Most of the people about my age (40) that think of disco will remember such uplifting disco tracks, this cd (and volume 1) however has a lot of slightly older original tracks, the disco i remember were more the newer remixed or remade ones (80's disco rather then 70's disco like S-Express). So all 'n all i love the sound quality of this cd and all it's tracks, it has been transfered well. The tracks were not what I expected, but came to like it very quickly. Definitely worth the buy, 12"/long versions of this era are hard to come by.
